All four workshops $150

1. Citizen Journalism intensive

Learn journalistic skills to:
                            * command influence
                            * be taken seriously
                            * build a public reputation
                            * establish a political career
                            * start a movement
                            * cultivate an adoring public.

This workshop will take you inside the newsroom and give you the tools you need to set the news agenda, identify opportunities for promotion, and establish your credibility in mainstream media and other public arenas.

Last night was soooo-oo good. People really appreciated your down to earth approach – honesty, no fluff and bubble, no smoke and mirrors. Most impressive! You have renewed my courage to forge ahead for what I want.

Carol Wallin

Citizen Journalism intensive
Monday July 8, 10am – 12 noon

2. Citizen Journalism: write an ace media release

Writing an effective media release is an art!

Workshop facilitator Stephanie Dale estimates she has thrown 10,000 media releases in the bin during her time in Australian newsrooms.

What makes your media release stand out? How much information should you include? What is the best way to contact the media? What’s a media release actually for?

This workshop will give you the heads up advantage for successfully accessing newsrooms – around Australia, around the world.

Thanks for the opportunity to be stretched. I was aware of many resistances that arose, and it’s only days later that I am seeing the openings that were offered and that it’s up to me to take them.

3. Citizen Journalism: how to be a great spokesperson

It takes courage to stand up and be counted!

This workshop will give you the confidence and skills you need to be an effective spokesperson for your ideas and your organisation.

How do you refine your message? What do you wear? Are the needs of television and newspaper reporters the same?

Stephanie ‘brings the goods’. She comes from real experience and has shown me the ‘other side’ of the press/business paradigm. Her information is all usable and she presents it with humour, empathy and – most importantly – she keeps it moving. I recommend her.

4. How to launch a political career

 We live in a democracy – that means that rather than just talk about what needs doing in your community, you can take the reins and participate in change!

This workshop will introduce you to the considerations of leadership and politics.

Where do you start? What do you need to know? What skills do you need? Which parliament would you like to take your seat in?

Stephanie was very professional and certainly knew what she was talking about! She gave real, direct feedback and called us all to action! I highly recommend her workshop training.
